Purpose: The primary objective of the In Loco Parentis Standard is to enable EECCCs to formally demonstrate their adherence to ACCAB’s comprehensive guidelines for quality, health, and safety practices.

Scope: The In Loco Parentis Standard is tailored for EECCCs, including preschools and nurseries, daycare centres, kindergartens, full-time and part-time child care facilities, and after-school care programs.

Framework: The Early Education and Child Care Centre (EECCC) shall establish, implement, and maintain a comprehensive management system framework to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate services for children.

Governance: The governance framework of the Early Education & Child Care Centre (EECCC) shall be designed to ensure legal accountability, compliance with relevant laws, and the protection of children’s rights, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in educational and care services.
